On February 14, 2020, G5 Partners held the “Brazil 2022 – Redesigning the Government’s Role” event in São Paulo with the presence of Mr. Salim Mattar,the Special Secretary for Privatization, Divestment and Markets of the Ministry of Economics.
The Secretary communicated the government’s 2020 goal in relation to the stakes it holds in companies: “Our goal is to generate R$ 150 billion through the privatization and divestments of 300 assets by the end of the year.” He confirmed that, in less than two months in 2020, R$ 29.5 billion in assets were already sold.
Our CEO, Mr. Corrado Varoli, hosted the event, which included a discussion panel with our founding partner, Mr. Renato Klarnet, the Chairman of the Board of BNDES, Mr. Marcelo Serfaty, and two other guests, the Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of GTIS Brasil, Mr. João Teixeira and the CEO of HDI Seguros, Mr. Murilo Riedel.
The “Brazil 2022 – Redesigning the Government’s Role” event was attended by business entrepreneurs and investors in general.
