Partner and Founder of the Private Equity Practice. Prior to G5 Partners, he was the founder and CEO of Fiducia Asset Management and a Senior Partner and member of the Board of Directors and of the Executive Committee of Banco Pactual. At Banco Pactual he was responsible for the asset management division from 1998 to 2002, and for the corporate finance, sales & trading and proprietary investments divisions from 1993 to 1998. Serfaty began his career coordinating the areas of strategic planning and macroeconomic research at Banco Bozano Simonsen. His background also includes a Ph.D. and a Master degree in Economics from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), where he also earned a B.A. in Business Administration. Serfaty also holds a B.A. in Law from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ).
Partner and Founder of the Private Equity Practice at G5 Partners. Previously, he was the Managing Director of Darby in Brazil. Gentil was involved in the management of all Darby private equity and mezzanine funds targeting Brazil, including Brazil Mezzanine Infrastructure Fund (BMI). Prior to joining Darby, Gentil ran Swiss Re’s non-life reinsurance business and structured finance operations in Latin America as Managing Director. Prior to Swiss Re, Gentil was the Managing Director responsible for ING Baring’s investment banking and corporate finance activities in the Americas. Gentil started his career at Bankers Trust. Gentil attended the University of Southern California where he earned an Undergraduate Degree in Finance and an M.B.A.

Prior to joining G5 Partners in 2013, he was a Director at Advent International in Brazil, prospecting and executing transactions in various sectors, such as Food Service, Retail, Oil & Gas, Technology & Telecom and Corporate Services. Prior to joining Advent, Ribeiro was M&A manager at IMC (International Meal Company – Bovespa: IMCH3), and Senior Planning Manager at Hypermarcas (Bovespa: HYPE3). He also worked as a Business Consultant at McKinsey & Company in São Paulo, Italy and Slovakia. Ribeiro attended the University of São Paulo where he earned both Undergraduate and Master degree in Industrial Engineering. He also holds an MBA degree in Finance from Columbia Business School.
